Real Name: RICARDO LUIS TAPIERO BALLATORE

Born in: CORDOBA-ARGENTINA.

Writer and composer of most of his hits.

He is discovered by Nicolàs Mancera in the TV Show "SÀBADOS CIRCULARES" by Channel 13 TV - Buenos Aires.

Record his first single: "LA POBREZA" and "LA ÙLTIMA CANCIÒN" for RCA VICTOR RECORDS

With his second single "AMOR DE VACACIONES" will be known in whole LATIN AMÈRICA and begins his internationals tours.

The first album, that includes "TE HAS EQUIVOCADO" and "A EL" consolidated him as a singer and songwriter of first quality, occupying by months the first place in the rankigs of many COUNTRIES in LATIN AMÈRICA.

Due to the turbulent polìtic-military situation from the 1970s in any Region, Luis begin a world tour that will take him for a long time from his homeland.

Since the year 1971 to 1973, remains in Guatemala with a programme of Television: "ALTA TENSIÒN".

Then he goes to Costa Rica where repeats his successful television show during 1974 "A TODA MÀQUINA".

To broaden his horizons, LUIS travels to Spain and lies first in Madrid and then in Barcelona.

There recorded for the BELTER-RECORDS the single "MUCHACHA AZUL" and "ME MALACOSTUMBRÈ" and for AUVI-RECORDS "MI BIEN AMADA" and "CANCIÒN PARA UN REGRESO".

With this last, wins the first prize of interpretation and obtains the second place in the "FESTIVAL DE LA  CANCIÒN DEL MEDITERRANEO" in 1979.

Then he moves to Germany, where lies for 20 years.

There also recorded in German and in English, with success.

Returns to SOUTH AMERICA and establishes his home in Viña Del Mar-Chile.

At the moment, the BMG RECORDS has just edited a CD, within the collection: "LUIS GRILLO: My History".

Luis apart from composer, is the musical arranger of all his songs. At the time he has composed more than 400 songs and has created his own RECORD STUDIO.
